I am the featured artist on this month’s (September ’09) web site for Trekell Brushes, http://www.trekell.com/Featured-Artist_ep_41.html

I am pleased to report that my paintings have been published in Collection and Appreciation (PDF) Magazine in China, and Chinese Watercolor Quarterly(PDF). My new e-mail friend Zhou Tianya is responsible for making this happen and I want to thank him for his efforts. Tianya is a wonderful watercolorist and won First Place in this year’s International Show of the Watercolor Society of Houston.

My studio is included in a story about three artist studios in the August 2009 issue of “Watercolor Artist” magazine. You can see these magazine pages in the Awards & InPrint section.

I have been informed that my painting, Silver and Crystal with Magnolia is a Finalist in International Magazine’s Floral and Still Life Competition. Look for it in their November-December issue. This painting is in the new Gallery

Due to the high quality of craftmanship, compotion and creativity in noted works such as "Bicycles Amsterdam", "Tiger Lilies" and "Three Halves and a Quarter"; Laurin has been chosen recently to be a Juried Member of The International Guild of Realism. He is looking forward to the juried gallery exhibition later this year, and participating in invitational Realism exhibitions and other art projects coming soon. www.realismguild.com
