"Bicycles - Amsterdam" has been accepted for inclusion in the Splash 11. A sepia ink drawing done on the Greek island of Napflion, titled Sunset Town Center, Napflion will be in North Light’s Book on drawing titled Strokes of Genius 2. |

I am pleased to report that my paintings have been published in Collection and Appreciation (PDF) Magazine in China, and Chinese Watercolor Quarterly(PDF). My new e-mail friend Zhou Tianya is responsible for making this happen and I want to thank him for his efforts. Tianya is a wonderful watercolorist and won First Place in this year’s International Show of the Watercolor Society of Houston. |

Due to the high quality of craftmanship, compotion and creativity in noted works such as "Bicycles Amsterdam", "Tiger Lilies" and "Three Halves and a Quarter"; Laurin has been chosen recently to be a Juried Member of The International Guild of Realism. One-man show at Memphis Botanic Garden
Watercolors by Laurin McCracken were on view from January 28, 2004 through March 4, 2004 at the Memphis Botanic Garden, 750 Cherry Road, Memphis, T: 685-1566. The show included paintings of flowers from the Botanic Garden as well as Still Life Paintings with Flowers. The opening reception was Friday, January 30, 2004.
The show was in two galleries. Gallery 1 showed paintings of flowers of the Memphis Botanic Gardens. Gallery 2 showed still life paintings with flowers and other florals. |
