All Prints are Limited Edition Giclée Prints

A Giclée (jhee-clay) print is a high-resolution scanned image printed on a high resolution, inkjet printer. Giclée means, "to squirt" in French. The printer "squirts" minute droplets of ink to make a continuous tone print.

Giclée is a state of the art technology in making prints. Because no screens are used, the prints have a higher apparent resolution than lithographs. The dynamic color range is like serigraphy.

This digital process, also referred to as Iris printing since one of the printers many use is an Iris printer, produces museum quality prints that are practically indistinguishable from the original. In fact many museums are now including Giclée prints in their collections.

These high-resolution scans (usually 50 MB or larger) are stored in a computer and the prints are printed when you order the print. I use a fine printer in Pueblo Colorado, Giclée Print Net. They have worked very closely with me to insure that the prints you receive are true to the colors and texture of the original paintings.

My prints are printed on Somerset Enhanced Radiant White paper. This paper is Ph-balanced and has a soft texture similar to watercolor paper. The ink used is Endurachrome from Colorspan which is very stable, giving fade and shift resistance for 75 years on watercolor paper under average indoor lighting conditions.
